We can tell you how great all our wines are, and we mean it! After all we did buy them in the first place. However we offer over 500 wines on the website now, and picking the 12 you want to indulge in this month can be quite an effort. So we have compiled a little list of some of the comments and ratings we have received from yourselves recently, which hopefully will give you a little nudge in the right direction.
“…In this wine, I have tried to combine the tradition of the Gran Reservas from Rioja with the modernity and cheery character of the Mediterranean people. So in this wine I have combined the spicy notes of the barriques with the typical cinnamon and forest fruit flavours of the Tempranillo grapes, making a complex but soft and easy to drink Gran Reserva wine.” – Victor Porter, Winemaker
” To me a truly great wine is more about the sizzle than the sausage. I grew up in the Barossa, so wine’s pretty much part of your culture from day one. Given our type of business, the styles of wine we make and my individual personality, all these combine to drive us down the ‘winemaking way of one’. It’s easy to manipulate, but when you leave things alone they just represent what they are – the variety, origin and working patterns, stored in a bottle.” – Steve Grimley
“We are wholeheartedly devoted to the production of top-class wine. Heir of the winemaking tradition, our wineries are the fruit of the work, effort and experience of six generations of winemakers from the Fernández de Manzanos family. We work with such a level of care and passion, encompassing new trends & consumer taste, at the same time retaining tradition, to produce high quality wines with abundant personality and style. Sustainability and integration is our philosophy.” – Manzanos Family
“Emiliana’s transformation process has filled me with joy for its integration of people, the consistency and quality of its wines, and the understanding that the spirit must not be overlooked in material processes”. César Morales
“This perfect fizz adds a touch of sparkle to an otherwise ordinary day. Fresh and gently fruity fizz with citrus and green apple aromas. Delicate and lively on the palate with ripe, lightly grapey fruit, zesty acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.
It is made from selected parcels of Prosecco grapes grown northeast of Treviso. Hand harvested at optimum ripeness to give the required balance between aromatics and good acidity” – Virgin Wines
