I Would Fill Up My Beach Holiday Wine Glass With………

Take a good look at the picture above. The clear blue skies, the relaxing ocean waves, the blazing sun with the gentlest of breezes, a super comfy deck-chair and an empty wine glass that needs to be filled.

There are no limitations, if you want a meaty Malbec then go right ahead, there may be a lovely smoking BBQ just off screen. Or perhaps there’s a fresh catch of day being grilled to perfection that requires a Chardonnay or Semillon. Maybe you want to pop open a fresh Pinot Grigio that you finally get all to yourself.

Planning to spend the whole day tucked into a book or soaking in the rays, then go as heavy as you like, a fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon perhaps. Or perhaps there are some water sports to dive straight into just down the beach, a little jet-skiing or windsurfing; you may want to go for something a little lighter like a Pinot Noir.

I asked a selection of employees to take a look at this picture and let me know their wine of choice, and here are just a couple of suggestions.

Thomas – Business Development Executive

A zesty New Zealand Sauv Blanc, as there’s nothing quite suited to a tropical breeze than a tropical tipple. Fruity and refreshing, it’s a great wine to top up the glass while I top up the tan.

Jason – Online Marketer/Merchandiser

“With my toes dug into the sand and the crashing waves as my company, the only wine that should be tucked into is a honey-driven, summerlike Cape Chenin. Tropical, delicate and, above all, downright thirst-quenching.”

Vicky – Office Manager

“I would fill the glass up with a chilled Bollinger to celebrate in the best way seeing the amazing view I had in front of me”

Whitney Edwards – Copywriting & Marketing Executive

“Fill that glass to the brim with Grillo please – because in that hot spot i’ll be doing a similar thing to my skin”

I would fill the glass with Sand and make a Sandcastle with my kids – Save the wine for when they have gone to bed!

  2. Louise Truswell

For me it would have to be a nice chilled glass of Prosecco or a nice pink fizz :). Ooooh I can picture it now…

  3. Sandi Green

I would fill up my glass with a Spring Valley Chenin/Sauvignon from Old Vines, it is so zingy and perfect for sunny weather.
