Yesterday saw the start of Fairtrade Fortnight. Fairtrade Fortnight is the nationwide effort to promote awareness of Fairtrade and urge people to buy products carrying the Fairtrade mark. It unites all Fairtrade supporters, bringing together retailers, manufacturers, producers and consumers.
To show our support, we’re promoting Usizo, our exclusive range of Fairtrade wines. For those of you who aren’t familiar with our Usizo (meaning “assistance” in Zulu) range, you can choose from a delicious South African Pinotage, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc or Colombard Sauvignon Blanc.
With each bottle of Usizo wine sold, we donate three times the recommended Fairtrade premium directly to the Fairhills project – a community based project in Rawsonville, South Africa. Contributions to date have led to the completion of the building of the computer centre and library at a primary school, with more recent funds being used to equip the rooms with the necessary books and computers.
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 25th February to 10th March and during this time we are offering a £15 discount off a 12 bottle case of Usizo wines.
