The tasting road show has begun for 2013. Canary Wharf was first up, last week, and was a sell out, which was great as it was a new tasting venue for this year! It was also very good to see that the self-imposed amnesty of post Christmas drinking has ended!
Having listened to everyone in and around London telling us that only having one tasting a year in ‘town’ was not enough, not only did we add Canary Wharf but we also added another one… thirsty lot in London!! Our next London tasting will be in Tower Hill on May 2, tickets are now on sale so please get them early and avoid the disappointment. We promise to be on time unlike certain pop-stars at the O2!
For those outside of London, to keep things fair, we have added new cities and in some cases changed venues from 2012 for 2013, due to an ever growing demand to taste wine for a few hours, hmmm!
Look out for our Virgin Tour T-Shirts which are available to buy at all our tastings this year, and also keep an eye on the website for likely new venues. Liverpool has just been agreed for November!
If anyone has a suggestion about a city we should visit but haven’t as yet, please drop us a line and we will see what we can do!
All of us at Virgin along with our wine makers from around the world look forward to seeing you, at least one of the tastings, and hope that you can find some new favourites and discover some old ones whilst trying cheese from our partners, the Cheshire Cheese Company.
